Paul Gibens
Owner and Director

Since 2012, Paul Gibens has been working in the community sector, originally in men’s health promotion and more recently in community development, homelessness, and housing. He graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Queensland in 2017 and has specialised in community mental health since then.

As a Support Coordinator, Paul has experience working alongside participants living with complex mental health diagnoses, such as schizophrenia. His main area of expertise is supporting participants who have case management needs across a variety of comorbidities, including age-related and physical health issues, personality vulnerabilities, behaviours of concern, and anti-social traits. He is particularly passionate about working with vulnerable men, who often struggle to articulate their needs and goals and frequently experience the negative impacts of long-term disengagement from mainstream health supports.

Paul’s practice is built around active listening and promoting a warm, welcoming space in which participants can develop and pursue their goals while engaging meaningful supports. He understands that every person’s NDIS journey is different and believes the key role of a good Support Coordinator is to encourage choice and control while working at each client’s pace. He is a friendly and compassionate professional who is committed to helping participants get the most out of their NDIS plans and connect with supports that make a positive difference.
